Biography

Sarah Utzinger

Sarah Utzinger discovered her love of music as a child and was allowed to collect her first professional CD recording as well as singing and acting experience in various children's musicals at the age of 14. She has been dedicated to music for over 15 years and can look back on many years of singing training in the fields of pop, classical and musical. For several years she was a member of the jury for the well-known Swiss Youth Culture Award (music section) and organized various workshops for singing, song interpretation and stage presence. In addition to the live band project "Deean", Sarah is a lead singer with the renowned big band orchestra at Zurich Airport across Switzerland. She worked with the Swiss musical composer and director Harry Schärer (Space Dream).
Sarah teaches with a lot of passion and it is important to her that her students can feel comfortable and develop. She is happy to respond to individual requests and is happy to be able to accompany young people on their personal and artistic path. Twice a year she organizes a concert opportunity for her students so that new experiences can be gathered in front of an audience and on stage.

I made a big leap, not only when I was singing, but also personally. I love how much time you sacrifice for me, that's not a given. You are always well prepared with new sheets with various exercises, looking for lyrics, organizing recording opportunities and, and, and. I can also talk about personal things (not like with school teachers). You always give me courage when I don't dare to do that, I find it really mega nice of you. Somehow it seems to me as if I've known you forever, and I've only been with you in class for two years.
